5 Cold-Weather Fashion Trends for Braving this Season in Style

Sweater-weather is here, and this Autumn/Winter 2015 doesn't have to kill your style.

Earlier this year, during fashion week in New York, London, Milan and Paris, the big fashion houses have had their say on what we should wear this season. By far, the most popular color on the runway shows was grey... different shades of grey. Not an unusual color for the cold weather collections. As I mentioned on my first blog publication, Autumn/Winter trends are about street-wear and gender neutrality this 2015.  Hence, below are five cold-weather fashion trends for braving this season in style:

LOOK #1: THE RENEGADE

Gender-neutral dressing is the ultimate expression of fashion's new mind-set. More and more we are seeing physically masculine men embracing this style (Kanye, Beckham, etc.). You can sport these trends without sacrificing your masculine style. #NoBlurredLines.

Grey draped open knit cardigan by ZARA, $49.90. Pearl grey high neck sweater by ZARA, $29.90Navy Structured Five Pocket Trouser by ZARA, $49.90. Cognac Leather Olympo Boots by Steve Madden, $189.95.

LOOK #2: The Stylish MAn

On the same end of this stylish-man spectrum, you can sport a comfortable minimalistic sweater with your regular jeans and boots. Keep in mind, monochromatic looks will make you look thinner and taller.

Dark grey knit sweater by H&M, $49.90. Grey clean wash slim fit jeans by FOREVER 21, $19.80. Black leather lace-up boot by KENNETH COLE NEW YORK, $295.00.

LOOK #3: The Classic Man

When wearing your suit, step out of the shadow and wear a roll neck sweater instead of your favorite shirt and tie. The 70's are back during this Autumn/Winter 2015, so a high neck sweater will keep you warm and in style.

"Classic" doesn't mean your style has to be uninteresting.

Black Wool Blend Producer Suit Jacket by EXPRESS, $198.00. Black Wool Producer Suit Pant, $98.00. Black high neck sweater by ZARA, $29.90. Black Mitar Slip-On Dress Shoes by Hugo Boss, $225.

LOOK #4: The Brave Man

Fur for men had a surprisingly strong presence on the runways during fashion week. Fortunately, faux fur is a stylish and guilt free option this Autumn/Winter 2015. Not everyone dares to sport a faux fur sweater or coat... only few are brave enough to wear such a provocative piece. Will you give it a try?

Fur-lined collar jacquard sweater by ZARA, $89.90. Grey sport pants by H&M, $34.99Fall fever lace-up boot by KENNETH COLE NEW YORK, $245.00.

LOOK #5: The Trendy Man

Impeccable fit has long been the mark of a well-dressed man. However, during this season, your coat has to look baggy. Autumn/Winter 2015 is about oversized vibes, luxury, and playing with proportions. Your oversized outerwear has to be classically cut in order to work with different styles, from suits to street-styles.

So, forget about buying that parka coat, and adopt the Yeeze look with confidence.

Tip: The optimum length for your coat should reach just above the knee for a sharp, distinct attractiveness.

Grey top coat by ZARA, $119.00. Black Wool Producer Suit Pant, $98.00. Black high neck sweater by ZARA, $29.90. Black Mitar Slip-On Dress Shoes by Hugo Boss, $225.

Final Comments

Because these looks are must-haves during this Autumn/Winter2015, is hard to decide what quality piece of outwear to acquire first. Before buying any sweater or coat, consider how your new piece will fit with your existing wardrobe, and whether this new style fulfills your lifestyle. For instance, The Renegade look will be more useful if you are working at an advertising agency, attending college or for street-styles on the weekends. On the other hand, The Classic Man style will perfectly fit the modus-vivendi of those working in corporate America or maybe those who like to attend church on Sundays.

We are in the era of self-promotion, so invest in yourself wisely.
